…And The Termite Colonies Just Down The Road

Less than a hundred metres down the road from the Grasstree forest, the landscape changes to almost a dry swamp.

The thing about these mounds that make them different to the norm is that they are aligned North/South. See below


Looking at a mound from the East. Below is the same termite colony, looking from the North




And lastly for now, these Lillys grow at the top of the Bamboo Range, North of Laura
If you’re up that way at the right time of year, you’ll find them at the top,
near the Great Dividing Range/Bamboo Range sign at the Southern end.
