Garden Recovery

The garden suffered from a period of no water while we were away. We’ve spent the last few days getting moisture back into the soil so that the surviving plants continue to produce. We have harvested a heap of Chillis, and snacked on beans and tomatoes. The Zucchini plants should produce in the next month. The peas suffered from the hot spell, but the beans are going strong. I’ve also got a heap of Rosella plants coming up. I’ll thin them and use the young leaves for a tea. Our sunflowers are up and flowering, as are quite a few of the Nasturtiums. Anyway, as usual, click on the images for a larger view

The tomatoes are trying hard. They'll recover and thrive I reckon.

The running beans really suffered, but the open pollenated, 'bush' beans have thrived.
