Microphotography – is very cool

I was doing a bit of web surfing a few days ago and came across the Olympus BioScapes Digital Imaging Competition. Microphotography is pretty cool. It gives us humans an insight into the complexity of tiny organisms, or internal body structures in our world.

The winner of this years competition was Igor Siwanowicz, with his image of a Humped Bladderwort (Utricularia gibba), a common carniverous waterplant:
