In my last post about the construction of our new, nearly all weather bridge, I said I missed the spans coming in. Well, I didn’t realise exactly how many were coming down. There are between 16 and 18 of these bridge spans in total.
That’s about all I’ve got to report. Except…as you can see in the bottom pic, the flow of the water over the current crossing has been messed up. The tide has to have been very low to make it passable most times. In the past few days we have had 3.6m highs, and .6 to .2 metre lows. That’s extreme for up here. The crocodiles (bilkamul) are active too at the moment. I’ll post some images in the coming days.
